Julie Ege was a Norwegian actress and model, born on November 12, 1943, in Høyland, Norway. She gained fame in the 1960s and 1970s for her appearances in a number of British and American films.
Ege started her career as a model and won the Miss Norway beauty contest in 1962. She soon began receiving offers to work in films and made her acting debut in the British comedy "Crooks and Coronets" in 1969.
Some of Ege's most notable film roles include playing the character of "The Angel" in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (1969), a Bond film starring George Lazenby, and appearing in several Hammer Horror films such as "Creatures the World Forgot" (1971) and "The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires" (1974).
Ege continued to work in films and television throughout the 1970s, but her career began to decline in the 1980s. She made her last film appearance in 1980 and retired from acting shortly after. Ege passed away on April 29, 2008, at the age of 64.
